Journey to Bethlehem
Leaders: Jackie Loveall and Carol Ringer
Come join us again for an exciting and wonderful Christmas experience.  2017 is our
eleventh  year for the "Journey to Bethlehem", an event which blesses us and, we pray,
all those who attend.

The Journey to Bethlehem is free to the public and everyone is invited.  We have made it handicapped accessible, weather permitting.

The Crocker Christian Church  is located outside of Crocker on south  Highway17 near the junction of 133 and 17. Look for our big lighted Bethlehem star and sign at the entrance and lights along the front of the church building.

Becky Lercher, well-known local Christian singer, will be a part of this year's "journey",  and talent from the church membership will assist her when she takes needed breaks; all talent will be to God'd glory. Those attending will be touched by the true meaning of Christmas in song.

This year, the "Journey" will be on two consecutive nights: December 8 and 9. On both nights, It will run from 5 until 9 p.m.  If you have any questions, please email us at crockerchristianchurch@windstsream.net or call the office at 573-736-5121.

Walking/guided tours leave approximately every 15 minutes and last for about a half hour.  During your wait you will enjoy the singing of Becky Lercher. The wait for the actual "journey" will be entertaining, as well!

Tour groups of approximately 20 will experience life as it was over 2000 years ago.  Mounted Roman soldiers, angels and shepherds will regale you with lively converstations as you pass livestock, bonfires and villagers.  You will experience the entire story of the journey of Mary and Joseph, as a Jewish family on its way to Bethlehem for the census.

An authentic Bethlehem marketplace, inns (good and bad), and the manger scene are played out in detail.  Along the journey you will be offered  food and drink and end sharing hot chocolate and homemade cookies together.

Should inclement weather cause cancellation of the "Journey", it will be posted on the church website.

For information or directions call 736-5121.
