Fathers recognized on Father's Day include: Father of the year: Joe Brown. Father with the most descendants present: Don Brown. Charles Pummill won for the oldest father, the father who had been a Christian the longest, and the father whose children had traveled the longest distance to be present. Congratulations to these 3 fathers. We give thanks for all godly fathers.
A group from church will be taking or sending items to Moore, Oklahoma, to help with tornado relief there. If you would like to donate to the effort, a list of needed items is posted in the lobby at church, and a collection box is in the foyer. If you wish to donate money, you may designate your money for the Oklahoma victims, or to IDES, (indicate that the check is for Oklahoma tornado relief), and place the gift in the offering plate.
A new church is being started in Rogersville. They will be distributing bottled water at the Rogersville 4th of July celebration, and our church is accepting donations of money to help purchase the water. Your donations are appreciated.

The ladies are meeting at 12:30 on Wednesday afternoons to make useful pads for the homeless. Please join them as they work on sewing these items. They need volunteers and plastic bags. Thank you.
Intermediate Camp is July 7-12, at Gasconade Christian Service Camp, begins on June 16 and ends on June 21. The cost is $70, and the church will help with the cost if needed. Intermediate camp is for grades 6 and 7.
Everyone is invited to an evening of scrapbooking in the church fellowship hall on Friday, June 21, beginning at 5 :30 p.m. Please see Kandis Hair for more information.
We will be taking a group to the Springfield Cardinals baseball game on Friday, June 21. We will leave from the church at 4:30 p.m. for the 7:30 game. The cost of the tickets will be announced. If you wish to attend, sign the sheet on the table in the foyer or call the church office at 736-5121 and your name will be added to the list.
Howard and Glenda Slawson will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary in the church fellowship hall on Sunday, June 23. The time will be announced.

Camp season is rapidly approaching. Registration forms are on the front table in the church foyer.
We currently have 2 adult classes on Wednesday night: Exodus (Bill Voiles) and Acts (Roy Peterson). There are also classes and activities for children of all ages.
Wednesday Meals have been suspended for the summer. Adult meals will resume in the fall.
Food pantry items for June: Flour, sugar, salt
CBCO will conduct a blood drive in the multipurpose room on July 9, from 2-5 p.m. We encourage everyone who can give blood to donate. The CBCO has been forced to reduce staff and some of the smaller blood drives may be discontinued. We are looking for a good turn out so that the blood drives at church may continue in the future. All types of blood are needed, and the CBCO performs a needed service with their blood drives.
We need an additional nursery volunteer for our Sunday morning service. If you would like to help, please contact the office at 736-5121. Thank you.
Vacation Bible School will be held July 10, 11 and 12, from 5:30-8 p.m. Please see Kay York if you are interested in helping.
In participation with the Pulaksi County Health Department, our church will hold an expo for children of aging parents on Saturday, July 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. in the church multipurpose room. The expo will include more than 30 vendors who will assist attendees with information and advice on helping care for aging parents. For more information, call the church office at 573-736-5121.
