We will be collecting a love offering for Joe and Amanda Neighbors in the loss of their infant son, Joe Eric, on August 31 and September 7. You may put your gift in the box in the foyer labled for this purpose, or in the offering plate designated for the Neighbors family.

A meeting to discuss and implement programs for young adults in the church will be held on September 6, at 6:00 p.m. in the church multi-purpose room. There will be an exchange of ideas, planning for the future...and pizza.
Larry's class for new members, or anyone else who wishes to know more about the church and its doctrine, has been schduled for September 14 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m.
The youth group is planning a trip to Six Flags. They will be distrbuting M & M containers to collect "loose change" for their trip. If you would like to help by filling one, please see Dustin or Ashely or pick up a container from the church office. Thanks!
A fund to purchase a new church bus has been started. If you would like to give to this fund, please mark your donaton as "bus fund" so that it will go to the appropriate place. This fund is intended to be separate from the church tithe and missions giving, and we ask that you not take from these funds to give to the new bus fund. It is simply open for those who can give or wish to give in order to purchase a much-needed church bus. Thank you, and God bless you for your service to Him.
All ladies are invited to attend the new ladies' Bible study on Wednesday evenings. The class will continue to be taught by Amanda Boberg and will meet in Roy Peterson's Sunday school classroom.
There will be a leadership class each Sunday evening for the next 6 weeks, beginning at 4:30. This class is for elders and deacons and will cover what their responsibilities are in the church. All church member are invited to attend. The class is taught by Jack Maxey.
The Wednesday afternoon ladies' sewing group will not meet during the summer months. They will resume making mats for the homeless in the fall. The date will be announced later. They would like to thank those who attended to help make the mats, as well as those who made them privately and contributed them to their work.
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Support group meets at the church every Monday at 8 pm. Everyone is welcome.
Junior Adamson is teaching the book of Daniel in the big classroom.. Joe Brown is currently leading the men's study from Kyle Idleman's "Not a Fan".The next men's study will be "Faith Commander", a series from "Duck Dynasty" concerning the parables. Amanda Boberg has begun a new women's study, "The Case for Christ", and Roy Peterson's class is studying the Gospel of John in the library. There are also children's classes for all ages. Our Wednesday evening meals will begin each week at 5:30, with Bible study at 6:30.

The area-wide revival will begin on September 28 and run through October 3. Three speakers will be presenting the gospel during our revival, which will be held in a different area church each evening. Speakers include Gerald Griffin, from Ozark Christian College, Jason Poznich, from Central Christian College and Dr. Guthrie Veech from St. Louis Christian College. The Melton Family Singers will be in charge of the music for the week. Meals will be provided by the hosting church following each service. Child care will also be available. Please be in prayer for this time of revival.
