Addie Bell Love was baptized into Christ by Roy Peterson on June 19. We give thanks to God for her decision to give her life to Jesus. Welcome, Addie, to the family of God. May we grow together as we live for Him.
Father's Day Recognition: Fathers of the Year (a tie this year) were Rick Burnett and Claude Hickey. The oldest father present, as well as the father who had been a Christian the longest, was Charles Pummill. The father with the most children and grandchildren present was Larry Richardson. The father with the youngest baby present was Dustin Moss. Congratulations to all of these fathers. We do give thanks for all Christian fathers.
Love and Christian sympathy are extended to Patrick Neubeck and family. Patrick's mother passed away suddenly last week. We pray for God's comforting love to bring you peace.
Montly leadershp meetings are Monday, June 27, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
The Wedesday evening meals are suspended until school resumes in the fall. Our evening service will begin at 6:00 p.m. during the summer..
The adult class which meets in the large front classroom is studying the book of Acts. The men's class is currently studying the parables of Jesus . Amanda Boberg is leading a study called "Having a Heart Like His". Roy Peterson's class is studying the Gospel of John in the library. There are also children's classes for all ages. Wednesday night classes will begin at 6:00 pm starting on May 18. The last meal until school resumes in the fall is this week, May 11.

We will take the church bus to the Springfield Cardinals game on July 8. We will leave from church at 4:00 pm and eat at McDonald's before the game. The tickets are $13.00 each, and the money is due by June 26. Sign up in the church foyer to ride the church bus to the game. Please see Jr. Adamson for further information.
St. Louis Christian college if offering a three-credit-hour course on the Life Of Chist which is tuition free. There is a $25 fee which includes registration and books.. This class is for first-time students at St. Louis Christian College. For more information, contact St. Louis Christian College online at www.stlchristian.edu or call 800-887-75522, ext. 1314. The classes are held on campus in St. Louis and will last for about 12 weeks.
There will be a wedding shower for Johnathon Crawford and Tawney Sims here at church on July 10, beginning at 2:30 p.m.
John Martin Keith will be in concert at the St. James Christian Church on Sunday, July 24, at 6:30 pm. The concert is free, but a love offering will be taken. St. James Christian Church is located at 227 East Scioto Street in St. James, Missouri.
