Monthly leadership meetings have been moved to Monday, December 1 at the church.
At the congregation meeting on November 23, Matt Campise was elected as a deacon. Tyler Wells was elected as Sunday School Superintendent. Mike Goff was elected as assistant superintendent. Penny Wells was elected as Sunday School secretary, and Ali Wells was elected as assistant secretary.
We will march in the Waynesville Christmas Parade on December 7 to represent our "Journey to Bethlehem". We encourage all who can march in the parade to do so; our presence represents the real meaning of Christmas.
A fund to purchase a new church bus has been started. If you would like to give to this fund, please mark your donaton as "bus fund" so that it will go to the appropriate place. This fund is intended to be separate from the church tithe and missions giving, and we ask that you not take from these funds to give to the new bus fund. It is simply open for those who can give or wish to give in order to purchase a much-needed church bus. Thank you, and God bless you for your service to Him.
Thank you to everyone who made our annual church Thanksgiving dinner a success. To those who cooked the turkeys and hams, to those who helped decorate, set up and clean up the multipurpose room, and to all who attended to help us give thanks: we are grateful for all of you.
Our annual "Journey to Bethlehem" is scheduled for December 12 and 13. Alternate dates, in case of inclement weather (such as we had last year) are December 19 and 20. This is a great outreach mission which beautifully acts out the events of Christ's birth and the journey His family took to Bethlehem. Everyone is invited; it's free of charge. Times for the event will be posted as it approaches.
The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will conduct a blood drive in the church fellowship hall on December 16, frrom 2:00-5:00 p.m. All blood types are needed, and all donations are sincerely appreciated. . .it is "the gift of life"!
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) Support group meets at the church every Monday at 8 pm. Everyone is welcome.
Junior Adamson is teaching the book of Daniel in the big classroom.Joe Brown is teaching from "Faith Commander" for the men's study. Ruth Ann Maxey is leading the ladies' study, and Roy Peterson's class is studying the Gospel of John in the library. There are also children's classes for all ages. Our Wednesday evening meals will begin each week at 5:30, with Bible study at 6:30.
